As we ship to many countries, we do not quote customs clearance costs . You need to phone up your local customs office or customs broker and ask for a quote. Find them in your local phone directory or contact one of the companies below. We recommend Seko Worldwide, http://www.sekoworldwide.com/index.html they have a "Need to find a location" link at bottom right corner of their website.

The crates are 1800mm long, 1200mm high and 700mm wide. Weight is 150kg. The shipping that you pay us gets the scooter to your local shipping port. Once it arrives, the shipping company or customs will contact you or your broker to do the clearance paperwork and then pick up the scooter. It's actually quite simple. Make sure that you get a quote for the customs clearance from your customs broker. (see below)

By way of example, here is the import procedure in California USA:

These scooters are more than 25 years old, pre-1969 . There will be no duty tax on them.

Step 1: You can call the shipper in the US using the phone number on the Bill of Lading, which we send to you in the documents. When scooter comes to Los Angeles Port , shipper in U.S. will notify you of your scooter’s arrival, and you pay any fees by sending them a check . After that , the shipper will arrange trucking your scooter to your town and they will let you know the address and phone number of the local warehouse.

Step 2: Bring all papers ( we send you) to warehouse and pick up Customs Clearance form , fill it out and pay $9 for processing at Customs Area and about ~$49 bond fee. Also sign EPA form ( Environment Protection Agency). No duty tax is applied.

Step 3: Bring back all forms and pay for warehouse fee, forklift to your truck and drive home . (You need a truck or trailer, each scooter crate weights around 400 pounds and it won't fit in any small Van ).

Notes:

Ware house allows you 5 days for whole process, any delays , some fee will apply. Good idea is to pick up on time. There are some other fees such Handing fee, Destination charge and also your scooter will required to go to CHP for checking before you can get it to DMV for Titling.

We will send you the documents and in there will be the BILL OF LADING which tells you the port /shipper/broker and there will be a telephone number on there. If you ring that number, that is the shipper, they will also do the customs broking on your behalf. You will then have to send them the documents and they will sort the rest .
