Simply put...
you are practically buying a new vespa - Restoration

Our vintage vespa restorations are complete in every sense. The scooters go through a complete strip-down from top-to-bottom. All vespa parts including carburetor, bearings, seals, gaskets, wiring and electronic parts, speedometer parts, brake pads, rims, tires, front and rear shocks, lenses, locks, cables, rubber and plastic trim, filters, exhaust, stand, etc are restored or replaced to be in excellent condition. Any parts showing significant wear are rejected. External items are chromed, zinc plated, or re-polished. The seats are re-sprung and re-covered.

The body itself is first dry-built to fit body parts exactly. Any damaged metal - e.g., often in the floorboard area is fixed properly by welding in new metal, then any dings are fixed by hand, using hammer and dolly.

The body is then disassembled again, stripped to bare metal, primed, painted, and finished with a protective gloss coat.

Above are photos of a standard strip down process. Every little part is thoroughly examined and replaced if significantly worn. Finally, the scooters are very carefully re-assembled and tested.
