Warranty
Our scooters come with a 3 months parts replacement warranty. This covers any
parts that malfunction or are faulty.
We do not cover labour costs - except when there are initial roadworthy repairs
(see below).
If there are mechanical issues, we support our customers by detailed email
instructions by our mechanics until the issue is resolved.
To qualify for warrany parts replacement your scooter needs to be serviced
at 1000 and 2000 kms by a qualified mechanic. Our warranty applies for the first
5000 kms or 3 months.
To claim warranty on parts, we require photographs of the part/s, and photographs
of the removal of the part/s. This proof essential. We advise you to lend a digital
camera to your mechanic if necessary. If
repairs are required please also obtain a mechanic's inspection report with the
repair shop's details so our workshop manager can contact them.
Note: If a customer does not put oil in with the fuel and they seize the engine
as a result, it is not our responsibility.
In the unlikely circumstance that you receive a scooter that has a problem,
we expect you to follow the procedure described here so we can authenticate your
claim. If you put a complaint in the public domain before completing this procedure
and receiving our assistance, we reserve the right to void this warranty and/or
the guarantee below to the extent allowed by law.
Roadworthy Guarantee
When you receive your scooter, prior to registration for road use, it will
undergo strict inspections by your local motor cycle service station and you will
receive a certificate of roadworthiness.
These inspections are generally very thorough and if there are any issues with
the scooter, they will be picked up here.
We provide you a guarantee for roadworthy requirements provided the requirements
are formalised in writing by a licenced inspector within seven days after release
of your scooter from customs . This guarantee covers all labour costs for repairs
required for roadworthiness on the following conditions. The repairs must be done
by a licenced mechanic. We reserve the right to refuse to pay part or all of a
labour charge if we consider that it is over-charged or unnecessary work. You
must select the "Independent Inspection" optional extra to qualify for
this labour cost reimbursement.
We will also provide necessary parts to you by courier for repairs required
for roadworthiness.
We will require you to provide photographic evidence of your claims and a scanned
copy of the inspection report. We will then send required parts. After the repairs
are completed we will require you to provide a scanned copy of the invoice from
your licenced mechanic. Then we will then send you the the payment for the relevant
labour costs.
We advise you to lend a digital camera to your mechanic if necessary.
We do not take responsibility for labour for repairs or assembly that may be
necessary as a result of customs or quarantine inspections.
Shipping Insurance
Currently, shipping insurance covers total loss of a shipment. It is very rare
that loss occurs during shipping. However, if you want it, this insurance must
be requested and paid for when you place your order (see the order page). Repairs
relating to damage done during shipping are not covered by this insurance.
The shipping company has insurance to cover damage to goods during shipping,
and in the very rare event of damage it may be possible for us to successfully
claim for the damage on your behalf. In any event we will do our best to support
you.
